After obtaining a research grant, I’ve also had the pleasure of doing some linguistic research in France on contemporary French, its evolution and relationship with English.

Despite the commonly made but embarrassing ‘faux pas’ of my early efforts at getting a good grasp of the languages I studied, this endeavour has been, and continues to be, a most rewarding and exciting occupation.

Quality of work assured

As a French born and educated young person, I first fulfilled my desire to be thoroughly fluent in the English language by living in England for a period of nine months and continuing to attend formal English classes. The English program of Cambridge University proved to be invaluable!

Having later settled in Australia, I pursued linguistic studies while maintaining my French language skills by a continual program of immersion in the language assisted by the media, for this I thank SBS television and radio programs.

I have since been able to further develop my interest in linguistics, particularly in the fields of translating and interpreting and recently completed a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics-Translating at Newcastle University.
